This is an introductory course to Yantra painting. Spend an afternoon creating your own personal yantra. The act of drawing and painting assists you in connecting with the right side of your brain which in day to day activities we use far less as it processes visual and non verbal information. Yantra painting is a form of active meditation. By creating a yantra you can help to balance the left and right side of the brain. In this workshop you will learn some of the symbolism of colours and of the geometric shapes used in yantras. Then use what you have learnt to create and paint your own yantra which you can take home to use for meditation.
You don’t need to be an artist to paint a yantra. An art kit with all you need for the course will be provided (canvas and tools).
What you need: Please bring a large old shirt or dress with long sleeves.
